These pictures are of a battery bank where so called "Recombinant Caps" were installed... see the burn marks? Check out the Caps them selves. This is not an isolated incident. We have seen many such cases over the years.

This case was not from failing to remove the caps during equalization, which is always necessary with these units.

These pictures are from a system which is a remote radio repeater on the top of a mountain with a large solar array and good sun. I am just showing the devastating results... you decide.
